Pousada La Dolce Vita Paraty, Paraty (BR) - Deals & Reviews

The scenery was breathtaking - stunning views of mountains and a lush green environment. The pool was also amazing - we spent most of our time there. The fact that the bread and juices at breakfast were homemade and fresh was a plus. The quietness was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The hosts were inhospitable and ungenerous. We were asked to pay for towels to use at the pool.

Quite, small pousada on the hill of Paraty, with a nice view of the bay. Quite simple but really charming is great to spend a night. Room was spacios and clean, breakfast was good, juices, fruite, lunch meat and bread, some pastery and coffe....

The bathroom was clean but had no hairdryer and the water pressure wasn't strong (which I guess is normal), had no pool, is about 400 meters to the old town.

Pousada Solar D Alcina is situated about 5 minute walk from the historical centre of Parati which makes it an excellent location - it is quiet and cosy yet within the easy reach of local amenities. Rooms are fabulous:very comfortable with spacious bathrooms. Our room was located on the first floor and had a balcony which offered a nice and peaceful view on the surrounding area and beautiful plants growing around pousada.Breakfast is served outdoors and offers fresh fruit , cereals ,selection of cheese and bread.There are a few 'lobby' areas around the pousada as well ( comfy couches and chairs ) which is a great idea. We were very pleased with this guesthouse and had a wonderful and comfortable stay there. The owner is very friendly as well and told us a lot about the area and things to do there. We would definitely recommend this place - you will not be disappointed.

De locatie van het hotel was perfect, dicht bij het centrum maar natuurlijk naast het park waar het standbeeld van de zeemeermin staat. We konden gemakkelijk lopen naar bezienswaardigheden zoals het Amalienborg-paleis, de waterkant en nog veel meer. Natuurlijk was het hotel goed bereikbaar, met een gemakkelijke toegang tot het openbaar vervoer.

Helaas was er op weeknachten 's avonds geen personeel bij de receptie. Dit betekende dat we soms wat moeite hadden om iemand te vinden als we een vraag hadden of hulp nodig hadden.

Kind and friendly management made us most welcome. The views are absolutely wonderful - truly panoramic and a lovely long pool (with a view) to enjoy a welcome cooling dip! The rates were low compared to what we enjoyed and Ihighly recommend the pousada which I will most definately return to as I am a frequent visitor to Paraty. The breakfast was a delicious spread and had loads of fresh fruit.

You need your own transport (which we had) as it is a little out the way for those wanting to be closer to the city but knowing the area well I knew exactly where it was and it suited us perfectly. It is on a bus route from Paraty that drops you off right at the door however!

So beautiful! This place is in a perfectly secluded location which just so peaceful. You can get a masseuse to come to your private balcony which is cheaper than the massage in town. The staff are all so lovely helpful and will even drop you into town when they go. The rooms are nice too, but that doesn't really matter because you can spend all your time relaxing by the pool with the best view or walking in the jungle (with the dog escorting you even) or laying in a hammock reading.

Far away from town and taxis are expensive. But Salvador will help take you in and out when he can, or there is a bus for only r$3 which runs until 10:30pm.

I had a truly peaceful retreat at this hotel. The location was absolutely beautiful, with a wonderful swimming pool that was perfect for a refreshing dip. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and fresh juices that started my day off right. The staff were friendly and helpful, quickly resolving any issues that arose, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Nothing, it is perfect.

I like to give honest reviews, so here goes...the views are absolutely spectacular at the pousada, and Salvador is a great host, and very helpful with bringing guests into the town of Paraty. Breakfast was ok to good. On the other side of it, the Pousada is about 20 minutes from the city, so if you do not have transport, you are at the mercy of the bus or a buddy. The bed was hard, and should be king sized. The room was $240 R per night, and I thought it was a bit pricey. Overall, quietness, good bed and facilities (good bathrooms) are must haves for travel.

Just want to say that my stay there was amazing i wish i was staying more. the location is amazing if you do not mind driving a bit. but it was worth the drive. the view was spectacular and soo relaxing. will go back for sure in my next visit.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was absolutely beautiful, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We were able to relax and unwind by the stunning swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained. The surrounding area was also wonderful, offering picturesque views and a sense of tranquility.

We recommend this hotel to all.

The pousada was well worth the stay, it is a considerable distance from Paraty historical area however, if you have a vehicle it only takes 20 minutes. I chose the pousade due to it's location in the hills. The pousada was quiet and relaxing with beautiful views.

Beautiful location, stunning swimming pool, and a good breakfast with homemade bread and juices. the peaceful retreat without the sensory overload of a town is ideal for replenishing energy. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The 30-minute drive from town made it difficult to access amenities not provided by the hotel. the hosts were unpleasant, and the rooms were not cleaned every day, even the bins.

Peacefulness for a retreat away...replenishing without sensory overload of a town. Although there was a problem with the booking, the staff at Pousada La Dolce Vita did a very good job remedying the situation.

Booking problem (however, it was remedied to my satisfaction). I was counting on being able to have more access to the English speaking staff.
